This photo is at a tourist stop in Chetynd, B.C, Canada. They have a World chainsaw carving contest every year. It is on the ay to a very scenic ride through the Pine Pine on the ay to Prince George and points further.

On a side road headed toward Tumbler Ridge, B.C., Canada

I went for a short birthday ride to Kiskatinaw  curved wooden bridge Sunday. It was almost 2 years since I broke my back. Work related. This is a favourite viewpoint about  an hour from where I live. The bridge was built in WW2, and was part of the world famous Alaska Highway for years.

First ride in almost two years 

This is a beautiful ride through the Pine Pass in the Rocky Mountains. It has a number of lakes, campsites and spectacular views. It is a 4.5 hour ride from Dawson Creek. There is a beautiful rest stop at Bjoux Falls, here you can have a picnic or rest. If you are ever in B.C., Canada, I recommend this ride. You ill not be disappointed.


Dawson Creek, B.C., Canada to Prince George, B.C.

Starting out from Dawson Creek, you go north to Ft. St. John. then to Hudson Hope, then Chetwynd and back to Dawson Creek again. there is some very beautiful scenery especially in the summer/ fall months. Also a great motorcycle road with lots of curves. The total mileage is around 200 miles. The accompanying photos are just some of the views on this ride.
