Start out going North on Rolling Thunder Lane toward Greenville Ave. / US-11/ Lee Jackson Memorial Highway.
Turn Right onto Greenville Ave. / US-11/ Lee Jackson Memorial Highway.
Immediately turn Right and merge onto VA 262 East.
At 0.7 miles merge onto I-64 East / I-81 North via the exit on the Left toward Richmond / Winchester.
Go 1.7 miles and merge onto I-64 E via Exit 221 to the right toward Richmond.
Go 12. 4 miles on I-64 E and exit to the right via Exit 99 and merge onto US-250 Toward Afton / Charlottesville.
Go 0.1 miles and turn Right onto VA-610.
Go 0.4 miles and turn right onto Blue Ridge Parkway.
NOTE: No gasoline is available on the Parkway and the speed limit is a strictly enforced 45 MPH. There are many Entrances and Exits off the Blue Ridge over its entire length. Gasoline is usually available within a few miles of the Parkway. There is no charge to ride the Parkway. Day trips, or shorter rides, can easily be made. Be sure to stop at Humpback Rocks visitor center located at Mile Marker 5.8. This is a good rest stop and free maps of the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway are available from the US Park Service at this stop. At Mile Marker 60, Otter Creek, there is a small gift Shop with rest rooms and a restaurant. Note: The Gift Shop and restaurant are seasonally operated.
If you ride the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway to its termination in Tennessee, be sure and leave time to ride all of the great rides in and around the Smokey Mountain National Park.
