Memorial Day

Riding my 2008 Ultra Classic to Vernal to try out a longer ride see how we liked it. Left Draper went proceeded on I-15 to 89 East up Provo Canyon (Very Cold and windy). Drove past Deer Creek Resivor on to Heber City. Continued east on Hyway 40 over Daniels Summit. Next we were passing Strawberry Resivor heading to Roosevelt and Duchense. Stopped at the G-Spot for a breakfast burrito and coffee. Next stop Vernal Ut. Enjoyed lunch with my son, his wife and there fireman friends who were heading to Colorado Springs for a Firemans Memorial. We turned around and returned to Draper via Tabiona, Hanna and Wolf Creek Pass, Miles of beautiful mountain passes and scenery. Down through Kamas, past Park City on down Parleys Canyon and home to Draper on I-215. Great ride, glad to get home. 

Break In Ride for me on my first Harley. 

Group of five intrepid bikers, mounted on 4 Harleys and one BMW gathered at Salt Lake Harley Davidson on a beautiful day. Temp was 40 at the time. Proceeded east on I-80 past Park City, didn't stop because of the Sundance Film Festival. Rode north east on 80 to the junction of I 8- and I-84. Took 84 west to Morgan Ut. Temps reached 21 degrees during the ride. Kelly's is a biker oriented  Café/Bar and Sturgis Stop on the Old Highway Rd at 1550 W. Great food, great host, great atmosphere, great sound system. Frequented many locals.  After warming up with a sandwich and beverage we bundled up and headed west to St Rd 89 South. Two of our group left us at this point. The rest of us continued south to North Salt Lake to a place called The Garage where we stopped for another short warm up. From there it was back to Draper and home through rush hour traffic.  

Cold ride to Kellys Roadhouse, Morgan Ut.

Leaving home to travel a westward loop. Freeway and back country roads. Lunch at Pennys Diner in Rush Valley on St Rd 36. Back home through Fairfield, Cedar Ft. and Lehi.  Second half of ride was very chilly.
